What is Brick Cladding?

Brick cladding is used to get the wall’s original look and natural textures. This type of cladding is primarily used on the exteriors of walls. We can protect your roof and floor with roof tiles and clay pavers. Nowadays, Brick cladding is also used in cladding for interior walls.

The additional layer of cladding is put on the exterior of walls to protect them from harsh weather conditions like extreme heat, rain, and pollution. Also, it helps to prevent walls from cracking, causing deterioration of the original structure. This technique of cladding bricks ensures the long life of the originally built-up structure.

What makes brick cladding a better choice?

It is necessary to consider the basic configurations of the walls before anything else and then determine the kind of material to use for the procedure of brick cladding.

Brick cladding is affixing a thin layer in a decorative pattern with actual bricks or cladding tiles available in various varieties, colours, and textures.

For cladding on the walls, we offer handmade bricks, cladding bricks, or brick slips. Following are the points that make it a better option, among others:

  • Bricks are considered the most resistant material that can withstand any kind of external calamities for a long time. It is less affected by heavy rains, sun exposure, or strong wind. It can also withhold the effect of snow for a longer time.
  • Bricks are also less reactant to fire, which helps a lot in situations of fire crisis. Therefore brick cladding works the best around the fireplaces in the house. In addition, this cladding will improve resistance to cracking in rising temperatures.
  • These structures are easy to maintain and keep clean. In addition, the natural texture of brick cladding retains the originally installed pattern for a long time.
  • On precise installation, brick cladding brings out pleasant decorative effects that can be attractive for a long time.
  • Various textures, natural shapes, and colours available in bricks can help create mesmerising standing structures. Even some broken brick brought together and arranged creatively can offer an excellent pattern for interior brick cladding.
  • Brick cladding strengthens the internal structure and walls and provides thermal insulation.
  • Bricks restrict the impact of sunlight and UV rays. In addition, brick cladding will secure walls from air and chemical pollution.

How to Install Brick cladding?

Though various types of claddings are available, we believe making them less complicated and easy to maintain is essential. In the case of working with us, we prefer to suggest the type of cladding depending upon your structures and what can protect it the most. The steps for brick cladding are as follows:

1.Create a cladding layout:

Before beginning with anything, it is necessary to have a cladding design layout ready and make sure the wall can hold up its weight. This is one vital phase to agreeing on the design and understanding what kind of pattern you desire. We provide a basic visualisation layout to understand available patterns, even in cladding roof tiles.

2.Levelled up plaster base:

Then, to begin with cladding, it is essential to have a perfect base of concrete plaster ready. The wall should be plastered, but the surface of it should be rough, which helps fix cladding bricks or brick slips properly.

3.Mark up the wall:

Once the plastered wall is ready, use a coloured thread and constant level water pipe to mark up the heights for cladding. Spray the water on the plastered wall again to get accurate markings with a coloured thread throughout the wall. Consider the size of cladding tile or slip used and the pattern that needs to be carved out.

4.Affix the cladding tile or bricks:

Once the marking is done and made sure it is accurate, start fixing the cladding wall tiles or bricks with the help of a cement mixture. Depending upon the material, a mixture of cement and sand is used for fixing.

5.Finishing:

A mixture of cement and sand is used to fill the grooves, and after 4-5 hours, an extra cement spread is curated with the help of a wooden base or bent rod. A wet sponge can also wipe out the excess material and spread clean.

Wrapping Paragraph:

We think brick cladding has always been a protective option and helped the standing structure last longer. This also provides a natural and aesthetic appearance to the walls from the exterior and interior. As a result, we assure the decreased risk of wall cracking and lessening other impacts of pollution over the walls.
